Additionally, the entitlement center organizes their products and updates and can allow them to review documentation, view Frequently Asked Questions, see promotional messages (targeted specifically to them) and view configuration and license information associated with their product instance.
Downloading products is easy and reliable. Multiple options exist to make the experience better for your customers. The first is our ConnectNow application which offers extended download functionality and performance. The ConnectNow is a client application which is installed on your customer's PC. It is branded to your standards and allows you to broadcast targeted promotional messages which the customer sees when the ConnectNow is active (downloading, uploading, installing and update processing).
For the customer, the ConnectNow allows them to schedule downloads, pause/resume and stop downloads. It provides faster downloads through compression and multi-stream processing and more reliable download through error detection and automatic retransmission. It also tracks activity and records results ensuring that both you and the customer are aware of all completed downloads while providing information on any download failures.
OMS also offers connection into global private networks like Content Delivery Networks such as Akamai. These can also be based on customer support levels like VIP or premium support customers having access to faster bandwidth for downloads.
